In a perfect world, you would workout one day, go to sleep and wake up at your ideal weight. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way.
I’m no fitness expert but from what I’ve learned while I’m on this fitness journey is that you need to capitalize on your time. Specifically the first six months of your new healthy lifestyle.

In my first six months, I lost 98lbs. I’m now on my ninth month and altogether I’ve lost 125 lbs.
What happened? Did I somehow fall off the wagon? Have I been binging or am I not exercising the same?
The answer is I’m still in a caloric deficit, I still watch what I eat, I drink my water and I exercise six days a week.
So, why am I not losing weight at the same rapid rate?
I have been overweight for most of my life. So, when I changed my diet and started exercising the weight began melting away. It almost took no effort; not that I didn’t work hard it’s just my body required less effort to burn calories.
The more weight I’ve lost the fewer calories I burn in my workouts in the same amount of time.
Also, in the last few weeks, I’ve been on quite a few plateaus!
What do I do when my weight seems to stall?
I keep going. I change my workouts and decrease my calorie intake.
I’ve noticed my body doesn’t respond well when I do the same exercise routine for a long time.
My advice to you on this weight loss health journey. Grind as hard as you can for the first six months and you’ll be amazed at the results you’ll achieve!
I’m not saying you’re going to lose a 100lbs in the first six months, but I promise you that you’ll be proud of where you are!
When I first started I told myself to give myself a year and let me see where I am. Time flies and moves whether you decide to change your lifestyle or not!
Keep going! If no one believes in you I do. You’ve got this!
