The Most Important Tool In Losing Weight

Losing weight is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I’m not only talking about the act of exercising and eating healthy.

What I’m referring to is getting up extra early to get my workout done because I know that’s the only time I’ll be able to do it.

Teaching myself that rain, sleet or snow can’t stop me from getting my workout done.

Retraining my taste buds as if I were a child so that I could learn to like eating healthy and not feel like I’m missing out on something.

There are days I just want to lay in bed all day and do nothing but watch tv and eat, but getting up anyway because I’m going to feel better afterward.

The process of rewiring your brain to make better choices is not the easiest but it’s the most satisfying when you’re able to see your results.

The most important tool in my arsenal that has gotten me through all of this is DISCIPLINE.

Because of discipline, I have been able to fast and also give up a lot of food that I loved but slowly killing me.

Discipline has gotten me out of bed to workout six days a week for the past few months.

If it weren’t for the discipline I have acquired I would probably only exercise about two days per week and eat semi-okay.

But the self-discipline I’ve learned has kept me on track to lose over 148 pounds in 10 months.

It’s not easy, but it can be done. If I can do it, you definitely can!

The first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!

Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
