How To Track Your Progress While Losing Weight

If you’ve ever tried to lose weight then you realize that sometimes the scale can be your worst enemy.

Somehow it seems you’ve gained five pounds (this isn’t possible most likely its water weight) overnight.

Even though this is the most popular and maybe the most satisfying (unfortunately) way we measure our progress, it is just one of many ways we can track our weight loss.

One of the first ways I started noticing that I was making an improvement was my clothes. They started to fit better and I didn’t feel so restricted.

The clothes started to look like how I wanted it to look on me! That was a great confidence booster!

I was so excited when some items started getting too big, or things I had put in the back of my closet that were too small and I couldn’t fit anymore started to fit. It was one of the most gratifying experience and there were a few tears shed!

Not many persons do this but you can take your measurements. I didn’t start taking measurements right away and regret not doing that.

But using a measuring tape you should measure your neck, chest, abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, and ankles. These stats may also help you get your body fat percentage.

The most satisfying way to track your progress is by taking pictures. When you’re able to visibly see that all your hard work is paying off it just does something to you.

I don’t know how many times I’ve been blown away by just looking at my past pictures. “Like, whoa! That was me? And this is me now? How?”

  1. You’re so right!
    My mom kept talking about how she has to pull up her jeans all the time now. Though a bit annoying, she’s happy to see her weight going in the right directions.
    I have to see if my nerd store has starbursts, I’m really curious about them now (they seel lots of american candy).
