I didn’t choose to share my journey online right away. Actually, it has pretty much been a secret to people that knew me in real life.
I recently moved and I don’t live near family or friends, and I’m not very active on my personal social media page.
I didn’t want them to know I was trying again. In the back of my head, I knew they would only put negative thoughts in my mind so cut myself off from them.
Mentally, this time I decided to stay away from toxic situations that would deter me from reaching my goals.
Around my third or fourth month, I started to feel isolated and lonely, and also needed accountability.
My husband gave me the idea to create an Instagram page based solely on my new lifestyle.
I must admit I was hesitant at first, but it was the best decision I’ve made.
I’ve made fitness friends that cheer you on when you needed most.
Do you want to fail in front of the world? I think not! So, it pushes you a little harder and it makes you think about yourself a little more.
But if you don’t find a happy balance it can consume you.
I’d like to think I’ve found it. But I could be biased.
I’m not saying you need a social media page to keep you on track. I did it for the first few months without it. But what I am trying to say is you need something or someone to keep you in check on days that are just a little too hard or you lack motivation.
Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!
Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
Don’t forget to like, comment, share or subscribe! I’m not picky any will do. I would really appreciate it!
Also, I started a podcast. I’d appreciate it if you’d check it out and also share it with your friends! It would mean the world to me! Click Here to listen!
You are a pink starburst and don’t let anyone tell you differently! xoxoxo
