Since I started a healthier lifestyle I find myself doing things I’ve never done or things I haven’t done in years.
I look at my reflection every chance I get. Whether it’s a mirror or a window I don’t seem to care!
There are days when I wake and my confidence is on ten, and then comes the ugly head of my inner self that I let grow and flourish for years.
It’s not the positive one either.
It’s the one that stops me and says, “you’ve lost all that weight and you’re still fat!”
“Who do you think you are? Look at the size of your arms? Do you not see your back fat on display?”
She can go on and on if I let her.
This was very hard in the beginning.
Actually, it’s still hard.
But, now I do my best to stop her before she goes too far.
I tell myself it’s okay to love myself as I am. I’ve worked hard not to get smaller but to get healthier, and losing weight is just an added bonus. I’m beautiful and it’s okay to act out my self-love to myself.
Admire your hard work, because “YOU DID THAT!”
The first battle you have to win in this health journey is the battle with yourself. You have to be mentally ready and fit to prosper in the physical one.
There’s a line between motivation and the truth of the situation, if you can just stand on that line you will be fine.
Motivation is the push you need to start and the truth of the situation is the realization of how much work you need to become better.
Once you are there you’ll be able to push through on the days you don’t want to. So go ahead and admire your hard work, you deserve it!
Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!
Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
Don’t forget to like, comment, share or subscribe! I’m not picky any will do. I would really appreciate it!
