If you’re someone who has been overweight for a very long time like me and you’ve just entered the realm of fitness you know there are days when you just don’t want to workout.
Some days it’s because you’re just tired, and your body is begging to rest.
Other times its life that gets in the way!
You’re too busy or something came up and you missed a workout.
No matter the reason we’ve all experienced exercise guilt.
In some warped part of our brains, we think we’re going to lose all our progress somehow by missing a day or two of our workouts.
The truth is just as our bodies require sleep it also requires a rest day.
You’re not going to lose all your progress in a day or two. You’re not going to gain all the weight back.
Life happens and there are times when we just can’t make it to the gym or even workout at home. You can’t beat yourself up for things that may be out of your control.
But what you can do is stay active throughout the day. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Or park far from the store entrance. Do little things that will still keep you active.
Just remind yourself that this is just life and you’re not intentionally not going! Then pick up where you left off the next day!
Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!
Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
