Why You Shouldn’t Overestimate How Much Weight You’ll Lose

It’s amazing to think we can lose 50 pounds in six months.

Or that we can lose 10 pounds per month.

But realistically speaking unless you’re morbidly obese weight loss doesn’t happen that fast.

My first six months of my journey the weight fell off. All I did was minor changes and somehow the weight kept coming off.

As time passed I started losing less and less weight.

The smaller I got the harder it was for me to lose weight.

This started to affect me emotionally because I thought the weight would keep falling off and I had started to set a higher goal.

I had to sit back and reevaluate my situation.

In the beginning I had told myself I would take it one day at a time, but because I saw the progress I had become obsessed with reaching my goals as fast as I could.

When I didn’t meet my goals I began to get depressed.

So, the best advice I can give you is do not set unrealistic goals. There’s only so much the body can take and there’s only so much calories you can cut.

Just take it one day at a time!

Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!

Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
