Beating Obesity, Inspiration

Beating Obesity (Inspirational Transformation Journeys)

The way that I found our next Inspirational Transformation is quite unique! I watched a lot of YouTube. I watch a channel called Gabebabetv. I’ve watched this family a lot and I’ve watched Gabe on her fitness journey. She tried a lot of methods and the one that worked for her was counting macros.

A few times she tagged her macros coach on Instagram and I decided to follow her also. Although she’s a coach who makes money on macros coaching she has shared a lot of valuable information that has helped not only me but thousands of others.

After you’ve read her interview please feel free to follow her on Instagram. You won’t be disappointed. She also has macro coaching for persons who want to become coaches or if you just want to learn about macros to lose weight. Her Instagram handle is @eve_fitchick. You can check out her website also for more information Here.

1.Tell me about yourself. Something unique and dynamic. Not the generic things that someone can find out on social media. But also add your name (first name) and age, please.

I am deathly afraid of heights and I cannot swim but I love traveling to Caribbean destinations. I also got married in a chapel in Las Vegas because we couldn’t afford a wedding.

2.What gave you the motivation to start your journey?

I had been overweight my entire life as an adolescent and as a young adult. I got to the point that I wore a size 24 pants and I only owned two pairs of jeans that I would rotate and wash to wear. That was the turning point for me.

3.How did you start? (Did you start by exercising or did you clean up your diet first? And did you clean up your diet gradually or did you jump right into it?

I made my portions smaller at first and then I started eating clean foods swapping out the junk food with healthy choices. Then I learned about macros which helped to drastically change my body composition. In the beginning, I mostly did cardio because I was afraid to work out in front of other people and lift weights. I started with a Taebo tape and a jump rope until I got a gym membership.

4.What’s the hardest thing about your lifestyle change?

Refraining from eating the whole bag of cookies. I am human and I love eating out and eating dessert like everyone else.

5.What has kept you going even when you didn’t feel like it or when you felt like it’s not working out how you planned?

Helping others has kept me going. I want to show people they can do this and keep it up too.

6.Do you have any regrets about where you had to get to change your lifestyle around? And did you have to evaluate yourself to find the source of your weight gain?

I wish I would have started with lifting and cardio at the same time.

7.Why is/was this time different from the other times you’ve tried to lose weight? What gave you the strength to not give up this round?

This time was different because I knew I would have to start again if I gave up again. I had to do it this time for myself.

8.What has been your happiest or the most rewarding moments since you’ve started your journey?

Helping over half a million women reach their goals or them being inspired by me.

9.What advice would you give someone who is thinking about or just started their lifestyle change?

Stat with nutrition. People think to do cardio first. The battle is 80% nutrition and 20% fitness. Start replacing not so good foods with healthier ones and track what you eat. You’d be surprised by what you are consuming. Giving up some things is worth it.

10.What is the ultimate goal? Do you have a specific weight goal? Is there something you want to achieve after getting to your ideal place?

I hit my goal weight. Then I got into People Magazine as I had always dreamed. I also competed in bodybuilding and ran 5ks. I want to do a tough mudder obstacle next. My ultimate goal is to help women reach their goals too.

Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!

Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
