Why Your Burning Fewer Calories

At the beginning of your journey when you were bigger if you tracked your calories you would have noticed you burned a lot of calories.

Sometimes by just doing simple exercises.

But as time progressed and you’ve lost weight you begin to notice that you’re burning fewer calories in the same span of time.

In a way, you should be excited but if you’re a competitive person like myself it can be frustrating.

The more weight you lose the fewer calories you will burn.

If you started out morbidly obese like me you can literally burn a massive amount of calories doing a simple 30-minute routine.

I always have a goal calorie amount for my workouts and it has become harder and harder to achieve.

I look at it as an achievement! It just means I’m succeeding in my journey. At least that’s what I tell myself when it feels impossible to reach my workout goal.

Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!

Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!

  1. That’s such an unknown bit of information, and so important.
    And you’re so right, it’s great to see a great calorie usage, and not good as even just existing means our bodies don’t burn as many calories, and yet, we should be looking at it as a mark of success!

      1. It is bittersweet, but concentrate on the sweet if you can, there’s less of you now, your body isn’t under so much stress, so doesn’t need so many calories to keep you going 🤗
