If you’ve been on your fitness journey for a while, you know that sometimes you just feel burned out!
The best way to explain it is you feel overwhelmed!
Overwhelmed with not losing weight fast enough!
Overwhelmed with not meeting the expectations of everyone else or sometimes even yourself!
Overwhelmed with staying in caloric deficit!
If you don’t take a step you can fall back into your old habits!
Currently, as I’m writing this I’ve had to increase my calories because I had dropped them to 1400 calories per day!
Even with such a low-calorie intake, I hit a plateau!
The only way to get the scale moving again would be to decrease my calorie intake!
Long term this would not be sustainable for me!
I would still be hungry and I wouldn’t be able to workout as intense as I’d like to.
So I increased my calorie intake to average between 2000-2300 per day.
This isn’t for everyone and you don’t have to do a huge jump, but if you want this to become a lifestyle your maintenance calories need to be something that is sustainable!
This method may also help you recomposition your body!
Believe it or not, eating right is the first step in creating a healthier lifestyle!
Also, once your nutrition is right you tend to be in a more positive headspace!
So, take a rest day or two!
Make sure you get in your self-care! Take a walk, get your hair done, or get a massage.
Do whatever you have to do to recharge!
Remember the first step is trying and the next step is not giving up when things get hard!
Keep going! If no one else believes in you know that I do. You’ve got this!
